Volunteer
If you are between the ages of 11 and 18 and there is a YVC in your community, you can become a Youth Volunteer with YVC. Locate a site near you and contact the Program Director for more information.
If you are 18+ you can serve as an AmeriCorps member with a YVC affiliate [link to list of sites with members] or you can serve as an adult volunteer.
If there is not a YVC in your community you can start a new YVC affiliate in your own community, find and support someone else in your community who would start one or write letters of education to your Senator or Congressman in support of national and local service initiatives.
